Play Room
Ewe and Me Childcare has a dedicated play room with areas of continuous provision set up which follows our half termly curriculum however is often adapted to meet the needs and interests of the children. During the recent Ofsted visit it was noted by the inspector that the environments were "going above and beyond what is expected".
There is a front room known as the circle time room where we sit together for small focused group activities such as songs and rhymes, phonics, story time and yoga.
Within the play room children have their own size appropriate furniture and we enjoy quiet time activities such as stories and a dedicated "nap zone" for children that still require restful periods within the living room.
We have a large enclosed garden with a grassed and patio area where children can learn and explore using their gross motor skills. Some of the activities we enjoy during outdoor play are building large scale models of pirate ships, car wash garages and dens using wooden blocks and planks to encourage imaginative play within a natural environment. We have 4 ragdoll cats within in my home which the children adore and these are included in my extensive risk assessments and have a huge benefit to children's emotional and self regulation development in enabling them to practice safe, caring and respectful relationships and boundaries with themselves, their peers and the animals within their environment.
