Choosing the Right Provision

Leaving your children with someone you don't know is a daunting experience- I have been in that position 3 times myself and can understand how it feels.  For this reason I offer an opportunity to visit my setting with your little one to get a feel for the environment, myself and what I offer.  Policies and Risk Assessments can be viewed and explained and my settling in procedure is explained.  This is a special opportunity to inform me of your child's care preferences, likes/dislikes, motivations and interests; and to tell me how they feel about being away from home.  I will be your child's Key Person whilst away from yourselves and this involves a "triangle of trust" between myself and your family.  The Key Person enables children "to feel emotionally secure when away from home and provides a reassuring point of contact for parents" Birth to 5 Matters 2021.
